This notice applies when you use Switch’s apps or websites to request or receive products or services, including rides or deliveries.
This notice describes how we collect and use your data if you request or receive products or services through Switch’s apps or websites.
Our privacy practices are subject to applicable laws in the places in which we operate. The types of data processing that such laws require, allow, or prohibit vary globally. Therefore, if you travel across national, state or other geographic borders, Switch’s data processing practices described in this notice may differ from those in your home country or territory.

II. Data We Collect
Switch collects data to provide reliable, convenient services. The data collected depends on how you interact with our platform and is categorized as follows:

Switch uses the collected data to enable reliable and convenient transportation, delivery, and other products and services. We also use data to enhance the safety and security of our users, prevent fraud, run marketing, enable communications, provide customer support, and conduct research.

3. With Switch service providers and business partners

- Accountants, consultants, lawyers, and other professional service providers.
- Ad and marketing partners and providers, including publishers (such as social media platforms), ad networks, technology vendors, and analytics providers. Switch uses these vendors to reach and measure ad effectiveness.
- Cloud storage providers.
- Customer support platform and service providers.
- Google, in connection with the use of Google Maps in Switch’s apps.
- Identity verification and risk solutions providers.
- Payment processors and facilitators, including PayPal and Hyperwallet.
- Research partners performing surveys or projects on Switch’s behalf.
- Service providers that assist Switch to enhance safety and security.
- Service providers that provide artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.
- Third-party vehicle suppliers, including fleet and rental partners.
4. With Switch subsidiaries and affiliates
We share data with our subsidiaries and affiliates to help us provide our services or conduct data processing on our behalf.
5. For legal reasons or in the event of a claim or dispute
Switch may share your data if we believe it’s required by applicable law, regulation, operating license or agreement, legal process or governmental request, insurance policy, or where the disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to safety or similar concerns.
This includes sharing data with law enforcement officials, public health officials, other government authorities, insurance companies, or other third parties as necessary to enforce our Terms and Conditions, user agreements, or other policies; to protect Switch’s rights or property or the rights, safety, or property of others; or in the event of a claim or dispute relating to the use of our services. In the event of a dispute relating to use of another person’s credit card, we may be required by law to share a user’s data, including trip or order information, with the owner of that credit card.
V. Data Retention & Deletion
Switch retains your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, which varies depending on data type, the category of user to whom the data relates, the purposes for which we collected the data, and whether the data must be retained after an account deletion request.
For example, we retain data:
- For the life of your account if such data is necessary to provide our services (such as account data).
- For defined periods as necessary to meet tax, insurance, legal or regulatory requirements (for example, we retain transaction information for 7 years).
You may request that we delete your account through the Profile menus in the Switch app.
Following an account deletion request, we delete your account and data, except as necessary for purposes of safety, security, fraud prevention or compliance with legal requirements, or because of issues relating to your account (such as an outstanding credit or an unresolved claim or dispute). We generally delete data within 90 days of an account deletion request, except where retention is necessary for the above reasons.

Switch enables you to access and/or control data that Switch collects, including through:
You can set or update your preferences regarding location data collection and sharing, emergency data sharing, and notifications in the Switch app’s Privacy menu.
Most mobile platforms define types of device data that apps cannot access without consent (e.g. location, photos, contacts, notifications). You can configure these permissions directly on your device.
After every trip, drivers and riders rate each other. This 2-way rating system holds everyone accountable and maintains our community guidelines.
You may opt out of receiving promotional emails or push notifications from Switch. You can manage these settings under the Settings menu of the app.
You may also request access to or copies of your data, make changes or updates to your account, request account deletion, or request that Switch restrict its processing of your data.
VII. Updates to this Notice
We may occasionally update this notice. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in advance through the Switch apps or through other means, such as email. We encourage you to periodically review this notice for the latest information on our privacy practices.
Use of our services after an update constitutes consent to the updated notice to the extent permitted by law.
